The Jacksonville-Onslow Sports Commission gives grants and helps with promotion of various events that promote tourism in our area. 

Pickleball tournament

Organized by Jacksonville Recreation & Parks. Over 50 teams participate each year.

Marine corps half marathon

This race is a scenic flat run and lends itself to setting personal best records. Ideal for experienced Half Marathon Runners as well as beginners. Accept the challenge and receive a hero’s welcome.
